The Word of God Spread

Acts 6:1-7 (NKJV) 1 Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. 2 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. 3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; 4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, 6 whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.
7 Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Glory to God forevermore for all that He is and all He does. What a joy to welcome you to another glorious time in God's presence What a great joy to fellowship with the Holy Spirit and with you.

Today, we consider one of the simplest cases of bias and discrimination in the early Church. You see, the Body of the Lord called the Church is whole, but it is not perfect. Beloved, The Redemption House as a body of Christ is filled with members who are imperfect, but very godly and desirous of growth and transformation. So, the early church faced one big problem that had the potential to halt the ongoing revival in their midst and probably stopped all the progresses they continued to make. Beloved, the church must never shy away from difficult conversations and challenging decisions. At every point in time, the church must act to stop the plan of the enemy to cause it to implode within.

Here is the good news, the early church faced the facts, and they addressed the problem, we too must be ready to do the same. Believers in the church must be ready to life the Crucified and Exemplary life. They did then, we must do the same now.

Please, fasten your seat belt, I do not promise that the flight would not be bumpy, but I am certain our landing will be safe and glorious. In Jesus name. Amen. Again, welcome to Redemption House.

Our Belief Statement

The Bible: The Bible, the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

God: There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

The Holy Spirit: The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. Man - Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

SalvationThe shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. The Return of Jesus Christ - The personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our hope and has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

Future Events: There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.

The Church:The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head.

Baptism and Communion: Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it.

The Great Commission:  it is the duty of all Christians to demonstrate and declare the gospel message leading others to saving faith in Jesus Christ, baptizing them and discipling them in the truths of the Scriptures.  This includes verbal proclamation of the message in addition to deeds of mercy.
